The context
Through this commission, the Centre National des Etudes Spatiales wanted to transcribe its particular vision of space, a vertical vision.
The commission
Marvin Gaye Chetwynd directed the sets and the direction of his film at the Consortium in Dijon and chose to work with students from Villa Arson (École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts) in Nice. In this film, as in all the artist's works, the play and environment created are "grotesque". Marvin Gaye Chetwynd's world is populated by fantastic characters who seem to come out of carnival with their character, sometimes frightening, sometimes friendly, but always humorous.
The film can then be presented during CNES or other programs.
The work was presented to the Consortium as part of the exhibition "L'almanach 14" from February 22 to June 1, 2014 in the room where it was created, accompanied by the main element of the decor.
