Electro-symphonic concert: 'Mulhouses'
La Filature, Scène nationale de Mulhouse
A New Patrons project (inauguration)
Mulhouses is an electro-symphonic suite with choirs, an evocation of the joy of being Mulhouse, in its diversity and in the sharing of its memories.
In five movements, this great project aims to highlight the city of Mulhouse, the richness of its history, the diversity of its population through art and the experience of "making work" together. It is a question of sharing: sharing memories, those of the elders, the workers, those of migrations, those of traditions. A city, told in music for all those who do not know it.
This work will come to life during the free concert on 9 June with :
- the Mulhouse Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Dylan Corlay
- 5 musicians playing electronic instruments
- a choir of about 250 children led by the Conservatoire à rayonnement départemental de Mulhouse.
The piece concludes with a hymn to Mulhouse, which can be sung by all those present in the hall, young and old.
This work was conceived and produced as part of the New Patrons initiative supported by the Fondation de France, the Sacem and the Ministry of Culture.
