Inauguration of Coeur de Paris by Joana Vasconcelos at Porte de Clignancourt
Porte de Clignancourt, Paris
On Valentine's Day, the City of Paris unveiled the artwork of Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos resulting from its artistic accompaniment program for the extension of the T3 tram line. For residents and users to be involved in the development of the artistic program, the City of Paris called on the action of the New Patrons.
Residents and associative actors, gathered around the socio-cultural center Maison Bleue Porte Montmartre, asked the artist to create a universal sign for this "world" district. The artwork symbolises the identity of Porte de Clignancourt neighbourhood as a point of convergence, as the cardinal point of Paris today and tomorrow.
Coeur de Paris is the second artwork inaugurated as part of the artistic accompaniment program of the T3 tram. The first one, From Paris with love, un code et un corps pour une nouvelle métaphysique by artist Bruno Peinado, was inaugurated on November 24, 2018, at Porte de Saint-Ouen.
